A Familiar Façade @ 02:47

Clad in a plain white tee, shorts, and her noticeably bouncing white sneaks, this ordinary bystander is not so ordinary. At least, with her powerful voice and growl. She belts out another one of those powerful voice classics, "And I Am Telling You" by Dreamgirls. Zendee Rose Tenerefe is her name, and she has one heck of a voice.

This wanna be "torch singer" had her back turned while the audience was captivated by her amazing pop vocals. At the end, while she shyly walked away from her appreciative admirers, the small crowd repetitively chanted, "More, more!"

I like her voice, reminds me of Jessica Sanchez. She is another one of those Filipino rising stars that are yet to be discovered. As I've read the article further, I discovered that she practiced her singing talent in various malls, hoping to gain responsive spectators (which she had rightfully gotten).

Although her voice is a little bit similar to Jessica's, Zendee's voice has more of a pop tone to it (hence her nickname, "torch singer").

I think this viral video gave her more curious spectators, listeners, music producers, bloggers (like yours truly) and of course, proud Filipinos.

Another one of those girls, with a voice that could reach a milestone.

I'm looking forward to her next startling performance. And who knows, I might actually be the next audience that might be startled with an awe striking concert. Only this time, all we see is an ordinary girl with an extraordinary story.

Till next time.

look here, wanderer

A little consumed space, blocked by figurative imagination. I laugh at the bitter world, space void of sad, cinematic records. It pains me to see the light beneath the darkness. The ray of little hope, the streaking sunlight of never.
